Some folks out there have come up with the brilliant idea to get D*C into the Guinness Book for the largest group of folks doing the thriller dance all together at once. I don't think there's been a recent update from them but it would only take 243 people from what I understand and I'm sure this can be done. This is their facebook: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=94488259317 . If anyone knows more about this, I wanna hear it! Especially with MJ passing, I'm sure the interest could be drummed up.

Are there any BSG or Firefly parties (shindigs?) scheduled yet for D*C? We went to them last year, met a lot of great people, had a great time. This year, we are bringing two D*C virgins to be sacrificed, and think they would have a great time as well. Can anyone with the 411 please post when and where, so I can get them locked into our personal con schedule?
ps - what ever happened about the Con Schedule Ap for IPhone/Touch?

Our 5th Con, this ones going to be the challenge.
Is there any given method, 'Eternal membership' for example to reduce the waiting time in celebrity lines at Dcon?
I have to ask, because I'm already contemplating just how we are going to do this. Maybe Sunday is the day for this stuff when everyone else is dead. I'll be dead also, but I'll also be determined ;)

I am interested in taking some yoga classes.Triangle yoga is convenient to where I'm moving and has classes all day long. But the citysearch reviews are TERRIBLE. Does anybody go there or have any explanation why it has such crappy reviews?*
I just wanna do some yoga and have no desire to get embroiled in drama.
*I am not saying it is a bad studio...only repeating what I read.

The past few days have been happy times. pfflyernc 's daughter was getting married. The service itself was on Ocracoke island. We drove down there on Wednesday with Pat's friend who is a UU minister. She was performing the wedding ceremony as a gift, which was exceedingly nice of her. We got down to the island just in time for the wedding rehersal on the beach and the rehersal dinner at the groom's parents' house that night. Ocracoke Island is only accessible by ferry and the ferry ride itself was an adventure. It was fun watching the gulls follow he boat and watching the shrimp boas and sail boats pass us by. The picture to the right was a self taken picture of us while hanging out on the ferry. Wedding day had a few tense logistical moments, as all weddings do I suppose. But by and large the ceremony was beautiful and smooth. The weather turned out to be gorgeous and not hot. The ceremony was casual and beautiful. The ocean waves made a perfect backdrop for the ceremony. I don't think there was a dry eye on the beach. We returned on Friday to prepare for the reception which was on Saturday. A significant subset of pfflyernc's siblings were coming into town. I spent a fair amount of time on Friday and Saturday memorizing siblngs and spouses and children's names and relationships. Given how poor my memory is, I was very proud that I only got a name wrong once the whole weekend. It was great to meet all these people I'd heard about in stories from the past. Everyone's personality pretty much matched up exactly like pfflyernc had described them It was a little bit like legends coming to life. I never once sensed I was getting the hairy eyeball from anyone. Everyone was very kind and warm and welcoming. The reception on Saturday night was a blast. The two families seemed to mix and mingle very well and I got nothing but good vibes the whole night. There were many pictures. Lots of dancing and singing. A weddng cake to die for from tanac , and lots of laughing and smiling and I dunno what else. I don't think the newly weds have made any of their pictures public yet, so I'm hesitant to do so. But I'll post links to wedding pics if they become publicly available. All in all, very happy times.

As the title of the post suggests, the tentative schedule for the Animation Track is up at: http://dragontoon.moonfruit.com/
Click the link on the front page. As always, things can and often do change before and during the con, so this schedule is "tentative". =)
Less than 2 months left!

Alright, I had origionally planned on attending Dragon Con with my leather working; however, now I am not sure what may transpire in the next few weeks. I am 2 weeks from being out of Paramedic school and am stressed to the max so I havn't had much time to think or worry about anything else.
My problem is that I originally was planning on going with my fiance, but now I am newly singled and have no one to attend with. I am not sure about going alone and I can't seem to vibe up any interest with anyone else around here...what should I do? Should I suck it up and just go? Just not sure because it makes me nervous to go so far away by myself but I really do want to bring my leatherworking out because I am so proud of it. Would love some creative feed back on this or something of the sort :(

Parade call for all faeries, elves, trolls, brownies, pixies, redhats, mermaids, nixies, sidhe, unseelie, and otherwise fun or tricksy spirits
Come walk in the parade with us! We take all walks of life, all inclinations, and all people with wings. I know you have some hiding in your closet or under your bed.
I do all the work for you. The group is registered in the database and I pick up your ribbons for you. Just meet us outside the hyatt or at the parade grounds and enjoy a good frolic through Atlanta. All of Atlanta, not just D*con, turns out for the parade. It is a great place to get your costume seen and to have picts of you posted online or even in the paper.
Come be a fairy (yes we accept Disney Fairies too!)
Join our community at dconfairies or leave a message letting me know to add you to our count. Feel free to send me a message or comment with questions. This will be our third year in the parade. We have a banner and love new people and new ideas for the group!

Hey, gang,
You may have seen our general call for people in costumes for this Saturday, July 18th, from 12:00-5:00pm in Loganville, GA. Along with lots of people in costumes, we also need one person who can be a Twilight werewolf-in-human-form. If you think you're our Stephenie Meyer werewolf, please email me at stephen@granades.com to let me know.
